A STORY OF GROWTH AND SUCCESS

Resirene started operations with a polystyrene production plant in 1978, which had a capacity for 20 thousand tons per year; eight years later in 1986, it increased its capacity to 60 thousand tons, installing a second production plant in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz.

In the mid-nineties, with total technological independence, important expansion projects were carried out to reach an installed capacity of 115 thousand tons of production.

With this infrastructure as a support, and supported by the talent of its engineers, a proprietary polymerization technology was designed with which Resirene began the construction of a third plant at the end of 1998, in Tlaxcala, which began operations in 2000. reaching an installed capacity of 150 thousand tons per year. With this capacity, the decision is made to participate decisively in international markets.

  • 40 Años de trayectoria
  • 200,000 toneladas de producción
  • 40 países

The subsequent decade marks a special period in which Resirene emphasizes research and development work to diversify its portfolio of products such as: specialty copolymers, thermoplastic elastomers, technical compounds, bioplastics, compatibilizers, among others; With these new products, Resirene diversifies its participation in more specialized markets with highly demanding requirements, serving national and export clients.

In 2010, as a result of a strategic analysis, the decision was made to consolidate operations in the Tlaxcala production complex. Involving the dismantling, transfer and start-up of the plant originally located in Coatzacoalcos in a record time of 4 months, while continuing to serve its customers.

In recent years, Resirene has invested a large part of its capital in a series of projects that have allowed, not only the increase of its capacity, but also the modernization and optimization of its production processes, key actions to dynamically face the conditions changes in the industry to continue offering the best service with products adapted to the needs of customers.
